| I just wanted to share some great news with everyone about Holly. She had her blood work yesterday and all is great! Hematocrit was 57.1. Her ALK is still high at 391 but we are okay with that and will continue the milk thistle for her. For those of you who don't know Holly, a miniature dachshund, who was diagnosed March 2007 at 2 1/2 years old. She was admitted into the hospital with a PCV count of 8 and had one blood transfusion. She has had a bumpy ride with a few relapses along the way, but our girl we feel now is safe. Of course there will alway be worry. For the last 2 months she has only been on 1mg of prednisone once a week. At this point we are going to stop the prednisone completely and then re-test in 2 months. We consulted with Dr Dodds about 8 months ago and she guided us through the final stages to Holly's recovery. For those of you just starting out or only a short time into it, please know that there can be hope. It is expensive and very draining with worry but if your furry loved one has it in them they can survive. Linda |

| Yeah Holly!!! Way to go! Slinky's counts have been over 50, occasionally that high. I was worried for a bit that it was too high :) I totally agree with Patrice...credit goes to Linda for the save :) |
