I've often heard that this product is great but have never used it myself. Is this Herbpharm milk thistle tincture? This product is basically milk thistle that was distilled in alsohol so it probably has an alcohol"y" smell to it...does it?

What are the adult dosage recommendations on the bottle?

If it has a dropper with it then I'd start low with maybe half a dropper full twice daily with food. (or maybe 10-20% of the recommended Adult dosage for humans). Add a litte more each day until you get up to maybe 2 full dropper fulls daily....take a couple weeks or so to get to this level. NOW, 2 full dropper fulls is quite a bit for a dog this side but from what I hear it's perfectly safe. Usually I'd recommend starting at the normal adult dosage for humans but others on here do differently.

Here's a site with milk thistle dosage guildlines....maybe this will help. Read down to the bottom of the page....for a dog Amy's size it says 30% of the recommended adult human dose. This is from Dr. Dodds so it's all good info.

I never used it so can't help there, just wanted to say I was pleased to read that you are seeing improvements in your doggy.

John,
I was not able to get petinic here either. It is available on the internet though. After contacting Dr. Dodds, she recommended giving Vitamin B12, iron and folic acid. These are the ingredients of petinic. For my 60 lbs dog it was 250mg B12, 150mg iron and 5mg folic acid (i think i remember correctly) I would highly recommend you contact Dr. Dodds too or have your vet do it. She is always willing to give advice.
Best wishes,

Sorry, I forgot to mention , don't give your dog anything, not even vitamins, without talking it over with your vet!

Yeah, you can order in online form lots of different places. I order mine from Allivet.com and they DO ship to the United Kingdom!
