| You may remember Tootsie, my almost 4-year old standard poodle, the December 2010 success story. Tootsie just had a checkup blood test and she is doing great. She went off of all meds in June of 2011. She was on prednisone and imuran for 25 months with the dosage being SLOWLY reduced. She looks beautiful and has lots of energy. She will get another checkup in 6 months. I continue to read about all of your dogs and feel your pain when things are not going well and share your joy when I read of the success stories. Thank you to Joanne for making the success stories possible. Barb & Tootsie |

| Congrats to you and Tootsie.... Me and my Lab have just started this journey and will get her first CBC draw at around 4:40 after two weeks of meds to see how she is progressing. Your story also underscores the need for patience in most cases. I am confident that Maggie is progressing well and that her CBC will reflect that but I am prepared for a long recovery if necessary. |
