Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - Update on Izzy

Want to thank everyone who is and has prayed for us. Izzy is doing better slowly.... but still with us, she is eating small amount of baby food, and ate some soft dog food today, still so very very weak, is alert drinks. Just wondering if anyone can tell me when you can let your guard down a little bit, is there a time frame say for the 1st week or so, maybe not just wondering. Thanks Again

I can tell you that the first sigh of relief...was when they told us she could come home...7 days after diagnosis. The next time was when she stopped agglutinating 12/27- 16 days after diagnosis.
The course for Trooper the border collie has been slow with a major setback March 31...an abscess in her leg...but slow and steady she is healing...and healing takes so long with prednisone and imuran
