:-) Buffie had her blood test yesturday. When the vet came back into the room after running her test she was all smiles. Buffie's red count is back to normal!! Her white cells are still alittle high, but they put her on some antibiotics for her ears. Being a cocker that's an on going thing. She has a heart mumur, the vet says is from the IMHA. On a scale of 1-6 her's is a 2-3. One of her liver enzymes is alittle high and they attribute that to the prednisone. We're still keeping her on 5mg twice a day to make sure she maintains. They may try tapering her down next month. The vet thinks the onset may have been due to Frontline. Buffie had only had her second month treatment when 4 days later she got sick. Of course we can't prove that was the cause, but I'm not risking doing the Frontline any more. She gets nothing that's not nature made anymore. I'm still like a mother hen, constantly checking her gums and eyes, and hate leaving her during the day. But she's doing good, eating good (thanks for the pumkin idea, it works) and she's back to her hyper silly self.

Hi Barb, I am so happy for you that Buffie is doing well1 It also gives me hope for my boy. Somebody on this list has recommended Milk Thistle for the low liver enzymes. My vet said it are is good and a natural supplement that is not very expensive. I payed $25 (Canadian) for 180 capsules. maybe that would be worth trying. Best wishes Brigitte

Barb, Yippee for you and Buffie! We all know that mother hen syndrome. I agree we can no longer be too careful when we pick things for our pets as well as ourselves. Penny
