| IMHA was featured on Bondi Vet a reality TV vet show in Bondi Australia last night. It features among other stories a Shih Tzu with a plakelet and red blood cell crisis. The little dog receives a blood transfusion on the show direct from another dog. It also features the dangers of when a dog presents with pale gums etc. They described it as an auto-immune crises. Unfortunately the little dog is diagnosed with serious heart problems after the transfusion and does not recover. | Hi Julie, I had to watch that show cause the little dog looked exactly like my Madison. Lucky for me Madison is recovering really well unlike that poor little dog. I had never heard about the disease until Madison got it so its good some shows are making people aware. Samantha & Madison |
