Had a call this morning from the hospital. Trixie's PVC has dropped a little, from 28 to 26, they are not too concerned and will keep an eye on it. She is eating fine and goes for short walks. I was told she is still panting, but no doubt this is because of the Pred, unless it's something else? They are not sure if she is bleeding internally and at this moment don't want to put her through too much to find out. So far the stopping of Azathioprine seems to be ok, up until now, the Antepsin is being given in liquid from, the Pred, they said will remain the same dosage as they are a little concerned about cutting it daown at this stage. Over the weekend Trixie will be kept in ICU, where she will be looked after. Monday, she will have some more tests, one of which will be to see if the intestines are not so inflamed. It seems she is a very complicated case, I asked if it was sure she does have AIHA and was told, the initial tests that were done at our local Vets, did show the signs of it. I am so concerned, this seems to be taking so much time, I had no idea when taking her to the Hospital, she would be there this long and of course the insurance is another matter. Tricia

You and your baby are in my prayers The worst thing about this terrible disease is it seems to make time stand still but she is in the best place possible. The hospital can react ASAP to anything that might change with Trixie Is the hospital far from you? I thought the same as you about vesting Daisy. I was afraid with her PVC being so low it might get her to excited and cause more problems. But when I spoke to the Vet this morning she said that visits can help, they are no different then you or I and it can help lift their spirits Stay strong

Thanks Tina. The hospital is about a 2-3 hour drive away, depending on traffic. You are right, it dose make time stand still, control is totally out of your hands, you can do nothing but pray and wait! I had another call this evening, it was from one of the student Vets, she said, I'm Hannah, a student vet and I am looking after Trixie over the weekend, she was lovely and told me how she was doing, how Trixie wags her tail when she sees her and gets excited knowing she will be taken for a walk. The student didn't go into any details of course about Trixie's health, but did say she is doing well :+) Tricia

Tricia, I would be feeling exactly the same as you but take heart that Trixie is getting the very best care. Hannah sounds nice. Thinking of you all, Jackie

| This morning the Vet phoned to say Trixie seems to be doing well, PVC holding at 26, panting still, they have given her a small fan to keep her cool. That's it really. I am now wondering if the tear she had at the base of her nail could have had something to do with the start this disease, as it was a couple weeks or so after that that she began having problems.
