Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - Trixie's meds
| I havent had much success speaking with our vet recently. He did say a while back we would reduce the Pred to 1/2 am and 1/2 pm. For quite a while now she has been on 3/4 am and 1/2 pm. He called yesterday whilst I was out (I had made an appointment to speak with him via phone at 8:55 am yesterday) I had no luck with that though. My daughter took the message, yes it's ok to start cutting the pred down to 1/2 am now and keeping the pm pred the same. My problem is what about her other medication? She is on 3.8 ml liquid Zantec X 2 per day and Antepsin 5ml X 3 per day and 1 75g Asprin. Surely the other medication should be reduced along with the Pred? By the way Trixie seems to be doing fine, her paw has healed up nicely. Tricia |

| I forgot to add she is around 59 lbs (27 Kg) and of course well over her normal weight!!!! |

| Tricia, It is not that uncommon I think to only reduce one med at a time. You want to make sure if there are any problems you know why. Hopefully you can speak to your Vet soon. Good luck to you and trixie. Penny |
