Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - Trixie-Just a little fed up with this disease!

As you know Trixie came down with this disease back in October last year and yes it's been a roller coaster, like it has been and still is for many of you on this forum. I know it's a long process and at times I ask myself will she ever have the strength that she used to have. Collies as you know are pretty agile, Trixie was very much so. I suppose I am a little concerned mainly because her Pred has been lowered, this has been going on since December, it hasn't been lowered too quickly, well I don't think so anyway, little by little. Since January she was on 3/4 am and 1/2 pm, about 2 weeks ago it was lowered to 1/2 am and 1/2 pm. A week after being on the lower doseage she went for her pcv which read 36-37% an increase of abt 2%. My concern is how come she isn't showing signs of being a little more active, she doesn't have a lot of strength in her back legs as far as jumping up on the sofa. I have read a few posts on here that normally when our pets have their pred lowered, a big difference is noticed in their behaviour, more active etc.
Perhaps I am expecting too much too soon?

p.s. also her weight is still much the same, double what she should be

Tricia, sounds like a very small dosage of pred as compared to her weight. 36/37 pcv is a low normal count. Sounds like Trixie is doing well. Maybe it is her weight that is keeping her from jumping if she is carrying double. I would discourage her from jumping on the sofa as she could seriously hurt her back. How are her other clinical signs? Is she showing any signs of distress? Is she exhibiting a personality/activity level that concerns you? Have you had a full blood screen lately?
I understand your distress. My Choe has been a patient now for 19 months and I am always nervous. Jan
