I haven't posted here in awhile because Toby had been doing so well. He had been steading improving with his hematocrit up to 32. Now he's developed a nasty skin infection. In addition to that (or maybe because of that?) his hematocrit has dropped to 25. I'm scared to death that we're starting all over. Karen

I am sorry for Toby's set back and will keep him in my prayers. I hope they can find the cause of the skin infection and get him on the proper medication. Cheryl & Ginger

Karen, Sorry to hear Toby is having additional problems. The skin infection seems to be a part of this road probably because of the submission of the immune system. Hopefully they will get that dealt with and his numbers will go back up. Keeping you and Toby in my thoughts and prayers. Penny

Karen, Sorry to hear about Toby's infection. Tiggs had been doing really well, then got a little infection, and dropped again. We weren't even sure where/what the infection was, but his white count went up, so the vet added a 21 day round of antibiotics. He rebounded pretty quick after a few days. Hope that's all it takes for Toby! best, melissa and tiggs
