| Yesterday was Tipsi's 1 year anniversary of being diagnosed with AIHA. It is really hard to believe that it has been a year because it seems like only weeks ago. I can so vividly remember everything about that horrible day and the weeks to follow. But I am happy to report that my baby is doing wonderfully. At her last vet appointment her PCV was at 53!!! Tipsi seems to finally be back to her normal self these days. No one would ever know she was so sick a year ago without me telling them. I am so thankful for her remarkable recovery and for everything that I have learned through fighting this disease in the past year. For everyone who is still vigorously fighting this disease always know that many dogs do survive and go on to live normal and healthy lives. I know that there are lots of ups and downs with this disease and sometimes the downs can seem to be too much to handle, but always know there is hope. Because Tipsi is and always will be my little miracle. |
