Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - Thoughts and Prayers for Christine and Family

Many of you will remember Christine -- mother of Nikka, the German Shepherd who feel to this disease (secondary to cancer I believe) in April. Christine also had another German Shepherd - Titan - a couple years older than Nikka, and just recently welcomed a German Shepherd puppy into her home.

I understand via a Facebook message from Christine that her guy Titan was euthanized on Friday evening due to bloat.

Although I do not know Christine other than from her postings on this page, I have thought about her and her family very frequently over the weekend and just can't imagine what they are going through. This has to be surreal for them.

I know this is a family that needs your thoughts and prayers as well.

Thanks,

Sharon

Sharon,
Thank you for posting this. I will be keeping Christine and her family in my thoughts and prayers. It is never easy losing one of our beloved fur babies regardless of the cause.

I too will be praying for strength and peace for Christine and her family during the difficult days ahead.
There hearts will need time to heal and I hope they are once again filled with the love & joy God had blessed them with in Nikka and Titan.

I sure hope Christine will come back here to see that we are all thinking of her. Bloat is such a brutal way to loose a dog. Christine I hope you find peace in knowing that Nikka and Titan are together romping around at the rainbow bridge. Hopefully your new puppy will help to heal your broken heart. In time, the wonderful memories of Nikka and Titan will let you forget your sorrow.
Sending my sincere condolences and thinking of you,
Brigitte
