Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - The Faces of Canine AIHA/IMHA
| I have heard from many of you on here who plan to participate in the "Faces of Canine AIHA/IMHA" garage sale to benefit the Meisha's Hope AIHA/IMHA Fund #338 at Morris Animal Foundation. I have also received some items and photos already. Since some of you might not have seen the sale info before I am posting it again starting now. I know many of you on here want to do something to help in the fight against AIHA/IMHA but do not have a lot of time or money to do so. Believe me I have been there. My husband David, my best friend Nola and I have had two garage sales to support the Meisha’s Hope AIHA/IMHA #338 at MAF http://www.cloudnet.com/~jdickson/newhope.htm http://www.morrisanimalfoundation.org/meisha We will be having a third Meisha’s Hope garage sale on Thursday and Friday May 7 & 8, 2009 and I am inviting you all to be a part of this sale. This is how it will work. Find one or more items that you would like to donate to the sale and mail or ups me this item/items before April 15, 2009 along with a photo of your AIHA/IMHA dog (who is either surviving or not). This must be printed photo. We cannot accept email photos. We will put your item for sale and all proceeds from the item will be donated to the Meisha’s Hope AIHA/IMHA Fund #338 at MAF. You dog’s photo will go up on special bulletin board called “The Faces of Canine AIHA/IMHA”. In addition to those of us who have worked the sale before we will be having Christy from MAF here to help us. She currently does the vast majority of the Meisha’s Hope work at MAF. Christy has a brother who lives in MN and she will be coming to visit him so decided to come and help us with our sale. We had a Meisha’s Hope bulletin board at one of our sales and people spent a lot of time viewing it since all people love to look at dogs. This will be so much more special. It will help people to realize any dog can get AIHA/IMHA. The following URL will take you to a site that contains a few photos from one of the other garage sales we held. | Thank you to all of those of you who have responded to the request for items for this sale. I am starting to recieve items and photos and they are all wonderful. But be assured there is always room for more of you to participate. Penny, I look forward to your items. you are so very generous in all aspects of your life. Thank you to all for your help. | Joanne: I tried emailing you last week but hadn't heard anything back so I'm going to assume my message got lost somewhere in cyberspace. I'm glad you posted another message. It reminds me I need to try again tonight or tomorrow! Is there anything in particular you don't want us to send you? My husband and I think it's a great idea and have been discussing things we could send off to you for the sale. We will be sure to send a photo of our own IMHA survivor, Sheba. Thanks for everything you do and for being such a tireless cheerleader, advocate, source of information and encouragement and all around wonderful person! | Rita, I did not hear from you, sorry, there has been some trouble with hotmail lately but I think it is fixed now. I have, at this point, answered all inquires I have received so please do try emailing me again. I try real hard to answer all inquires for the sale within 24 hours. We are accepting all good quality items expect for clothing. Please do try emailing me again and that goes for anyone else who has not had a reply from me in regard to the sale. |
