Jan, I just wanted to say thanks again for your info about using skin so soft for fleas, I bought some today and I already feel like it is helping. Plus i put it on my other dog who has really dry skin and he seems relieved!! The lady at he avon store in our mall said to mix it with a little water and gave me a whole list of things to use it for. Everyone out there who is nervous to use frontline or advantage like i was, give the skin so soft a try. I'm also going to tell my vet about it, so they can pass it on! doodle hugs and relief carol

Thanks great, Carol. Skin So Soft is a soothing proiduct and does not remain greasy on the skin. This along with the Apple Cider Vingegar that changes the ph balance of the skin, when used all year round, has been what I am using to substitute for commercia flea control products. I think it is important for people to know the potential toxic effects caused by commercial flea control products. I will continue to be an advocate to inform other pet people about the dangers of FRONTLINE and similar products. I will NEVER forget the pain and suffering my pet as well as thousands of others have needlessly gone through due to the toxic pesticide fipronil, the main ingredient in Frontline. It is a pesticide that infiltrates your pet's skin and system. Maybe one of these days our regulatory agency (EPA) will do the right thing and mandate a recall until they can get a handle on how exactly these products are manufactured and approved by big pharma. Just so you know, FRONTLINE will not release their clinical study trials to the public. I have requested in writing twice, to one of their staff Vets and she informed me the information is 'proprietary.' Our President asks for more 'transparency' in regulatory agencies. Clearly the EPA has not heard his message. Until the public is given some tangible answers about the safty of the product(s), if we refuse to purchase, it sends a strong message. Let me know how you are doing with the Skin So Soft! Best regards, Jan

Carol, what do you do with the Skin So Soft --- mix it in a water bottle and use it like a spray? Is it okay if the dog licks it off? Jan, how much apple cider vinegar do you give a day and do you put it in the drinking water? I'm always searching for safe alternatives for flea/tick/mosquito management. Thanks, Karen

Karen, I get the spray container that the SSS already comes in and spray it first on my hand and then rub it on the neck, back and underside of the dog(s). I usually use at least two-three good size squirts, twice a day. I don't add water but I imagine you can. For the ACV, I put a teaspoon full every night mixed in the evening meal. My dogs are 15 lbs each. Jan

The way i am using the SSS is I bought the big bottle of it and diluting it with 1/3 water in a little spray bottle and just spray it on and rub it in... I had given charlie a bath and he got hives from the shampoo, which was mild people soap. anyway, I have been using it for a couple days and it seems to be going well... I havnt tried to vinegar yet. good luck carol
