| Tessy was in to see the doctor again today for a check-up and get her blood work done. They seem to know when she's about to come through the door cause she starts to bark. They are very good to her in there and she seems to know it! Anywho, she had her blood work done and the news was good. Her PCV rose again this week to 28.3. Last week it was at 23 so I guess that an increase of 5.3 is pretty good. Again, I am so releived. Her WBC also dropped some from 54.0 last week to 45.9 today. The only thing that has me concerned right now is her platelet numbers. They rose again this week to 583 (H 10 to the 3rd power / mm to the 3rd power). Last week they were at 550 and the week befor that they were in the normal range at 370. The PLT seems to be risong over the weeks. The doctor is going to look into these numbers and see what can/needs to be done. Can anyone help explain the PLT numbers or refer me to a site that can help? I took the advise of several people on this forum and got a copy of all of the results that were taken over the past 3-4 weeks. Now it will be easier to understand the results and look for trends. Most of it is like a second language to me but I guess it'll take some time to understand. I'ld like to take the opportunity to thank everyone here for their support and prayers during these times. I wish I could hug ya all! If Tessy could talk I'm sure she would thank you all to. She's kicking her new ball at my feet as a write this so I guess you know what I have to do now! I hope all of the unfortunate dogs with this evil disease gets better. I'm praying for you all. Hang in there. Johnny and Tessy |

| That is great news for Tessie. regarding platelets, go about halfway down on the site and look for my post under Laurie and the title, is Patrice can you answer a platelet question? That may help you, I understand HCT numbers and now monitor all of her cbc and glad you are doing the same for Tessie, its a real eye opener to do a date comparison and see how all of these levels fluctuate and tyr to find out what they mean.
