Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - Survey result cut off date approaching
| Hello all, Some of you are new to this post and don't know me. In March of 2007 my chocolate labrador, Acadia, was diagnosed with AIHA. Like most of you, I had never heard of it until then. I decided to try and start gathering data from everyone in hopes of finding common traits. We released the first results last quarter and I want to try and update them every quarter. I do not post the results on the site. I only send results to the individuals who participate in the survey. Each quarter I will send updated results to everyone who has participated in any quarter survey unless you request that I not send them to you. If you want to participate, please answer the following questions and send to me at jmf31@tx.rr.com. I will release the compiled results in January. If you participated in the first survey, please contact me if I entered something incorrect, or if you have additional information to share. I did not ask for the veterinarian name the first time but feel this could be VERY helpful to the newly diagnosed. Pet's age when diagnosed: Weight when diagnosed: Diagnosis Date: Diagnosis: PCV at initial diagnosis: Did your pet have blood transfusions? If yes, how many and date given: History leading up to diagnosis: We are looking for past illnesses of your pet or conditions that might have led to the AIHA. Last vaccination date: What was your pet vaccinated for? Did you recently remove a tick from your pet? Was your pet recently stressed? Do you treat for fleas? If yes, what do you use? Do you treat for heartworms? If yes, what do you use? Do you feed your dog 'people' food that might contain onions and/or garlic? Name, location (city and state) and phone number of a Veterinarian you would recommend. |
