Thank you to everyone who told me of Dr.Dodd,, I called and was able to speak with her today . What an angel. Found out some interesting things , first that gunner should have always been on a low does of medication from when he was diagnosed years ago with auto immune ,which he wasn't !!!!! And the fact that he has been holding at 20 since his transfusion almost 2 weeks ago is a good sign that he isn't destroying . I am emailing her tomorrow and she is going to send me info to give to my vet. I'll keep you all posted, Gunner was in better spirits today, I'm remaining hopeful :) Again Thank you xo

Jacki, how's Gunner been doing? Did you talk anymore with Dr. Dodds? She's a wonderful lady! So glad to hear you have her on board! Johnny & Tessy

Hey Johnny, Thank you for asking:) Gunner has been ok . Still lethargic but gums are still in the PINK zone. Dr.Dodds emailed me info to take and show to my vet, which I am doing tomorrow. And she said it was possible for her to do a phone conference if needed. She suggested another drug to add to the mix. So i'm hoping the new combo will take effect, and we will see an improvement!! I ordered Pet-tinic (waiting for it to arrive) and Dr.Dodds recommended switching the dog food to Wellness(?) What are your thoughts as far as food and supplements are concerned? Finding this site was a blessing, or I would not be equipped with all this new knowledge :) The support here is amazing!! How has your Tessy been? Did she also have this horrible disease ? Thank you again for your thoughtfulness~ Love, Jacki and Gunner

As far as supplements go you really can't go wrong with Pet Tinic and Milk Thistle!!! Wellness is an alright food! It's grain free! Myself, I prefer to homecook that way I know what's going in to my dog! I cook enough to last a week and sometimes I'll do double batches and freeze some if I'm busy that week. Tessy's doing good nowadays. She had this disease and beat it but unfortunately got diagnosed with Lymphoma in August. So far she's in remission! Thank doG! Thanks for asking. If I were you I'd take Dr. Dodds up on the phone consults. It's fairly cheap to do and her expertise is priceless!!! Listen to the lady...she knows her stuff! I'll keep Gunner in my thoughts and prayers! Johnny & Tessy
