Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - Sofie, the GSD puppy
| Sofie has been off the high doses of Pred for a week, she is getting 50mg once a day instead of 50 mg twice a day. Her blood count today was great, it is sitting at 50%. She will go off the doxycillian after this week, that means she was on an antibiotic for 6 weeks. She will stay on the Famotide as long as she is on the Prednisone. From the second day of her treatment, she has been active, playful, eating, acting totally normal. After reading alot of the setbacks, I guess Sofie and I have been extremely lucky. |
