It has been months since I posted about Sofie being taken from me and returned to the breeder. Alot of you were up in arms about it and wrote me, but I thought a friendship could remain between Sofies breeder and me and returned her. At the time, the breeder stated she wanted to breed her and I wanted to spay her. It seems someone on this list is now taking my "letters" to this group and sending them across the US , along with a letter with no signature and stating that they (acting for me or pretending to be me) wants support from other GSD breeders to force the breeder to not breed Sofie. I am being harrassed and called all kinds of names, send nasty emails now, FOUR months after the fact. I no longer have Sofie, she was taken back by the breeder, GIVEN to someone else and SPAYED and is now someone elses pet. I WANTED to keep her, I WANTED to spay her, but she was taken from me and given away AFTER I spent close to $2000 to save her. I hope whomever is taking messages from this list and copying them, adding what they want and sending them out in the mail will STOP. I don't need all this pain brought up again by someone I don't even know, OVER A "DEAD HORSE" SO TO SPEAK. SO AGAIN, SOFIE IS SPAYED AND LIVING WITH SOMEONE ELSE, NOT BY MY CHOICE, BUT NONE THE LESS IT IS OVER. LEAVE ME ALONE

Joanne, I am horrified that anyone would do that. While this is an open board I still consider it kind of a personal place where people can share their fears, pain and joys. I am so sorry for everything you have gone through and now have this to deal with. Perhaps you can file a police report and get the persons ISP and get it stopped. Regardless of how any of us may have felt about the situation what has gone on is just wrong. I am also very saddened that the breeder would go ahead with spaying Sophie and give her to someone else. I know there is no comfort in remembering that you chose to fight for Sophie and tried to do the right thing but you were a good doggie Mom. Penny

The problem with identifying the person is he/she copied all the posts I made to this list, added names(she obviously knew who Sofie was and the breeder since I did not ever mention the breeders name)wrote an unsigned letter, sent along the posts and mailed it with an Orlando postmark to other GSD breeders. So, no way to trace it. The funny thing is, the person who is causing these problems is asking for the other GSD breeders to ban together and force Sofie's breeder to spay her. Ironic that the breeder did give her to someone else and that person has spayed her months ago.(or at least that is what I was told). So, I have nothing at all to do with the breeder or Sofie or the new owner. Can't imagine why someone has decided after four months to bring this up and doesn't even have all the information.
