Slinky's latest pcv (Oct 20) was 47-her highest yet!! We held her meds constant last time to get us through the arrival of our son-Oct 4. So, now we're going to eod on her pred (2.5 mgs) along with eod Imuran. She is doing great and gets up with me at night for baby feeds :) I am blessed to know Slinky and feel so very lucky with her excellent progress. Keep hoping and battling!

Stephanie, That is such fantastic news! I am so happy for your family, your new son, congratulations! and for Slinky! Holly has been on 2.5mg prednisone EOD for the last month, next week we will go to every third day. Still every day on the Imuran, but that is okay. And I take it she just loves your new son and so happy to be part of your family and feeling so much better. Great news! Linda

Slinky has become my constant companion with the baby. My older dog only gets up with me if my husband isn't in bed :) Slinky stays by my side through every feeding. She just moves with me from room to room and finds a blanket to bury herself in. She has really accepted the baby without flinching. Our older dog has taken a more protective role, getting upset when the baby cries. Both dogs are big in the sniffing bit too-we get the full-fledged hound snuffling at times. I am treasuring the time I'm getting to spend with the babe in my arms and my dogs at my side.
