Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - Slinky update 1/16/08
| We stopped Slinky's Imuran/azathioprine the week of Christmas. Her last 3 PCVs have been 49, 50, and most recently (Jan 11) 50. She's been holding steady for a while now. I am so grateful and relieved! She is still on 2.5 mg of prednisone every other day (she weighs 12 lbs) but we'll be reducing that if her next tests in 3-4 weeks are good. She's even almost back down to her pre-IMHA weight! Her drive for playing ball is still high, and she is a joy to see. To all of those still fighting hard-keep at it! |
