Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - Savannah
| Savannah is a 20lb Cavalier King Charles. She spent 9 days in ICU at Fl vet school and had 4 transfusions. She is on 25mg of prednisone, 200mg of cyclosporine and 25mg of azathioprine. She has maintained a pcv of 20 for about a week. Yesterday it dropped to 19 and she's more lethargic. How long does it take to start seeing an increase in pcv? |

| one thing ive learned about having a dog with AIHA is that there is really no 'standard' response that you shoud expect across the board... some dogs respond really quickly, and some (like mine) take months and months to show signs of improvement... its really a case by case thing and i hope that savannah responds as quick as possible the fact that she maintained her # thruout the week is a good thing... |
