Wow, I just checked the results. Wasn't home yesterday to follow the race. 6th is a BIG improvement, right, Steve? I'm sure a win is right around the corner. Tasha must be so proud.

Hopefully Steve will come on with a few comments about Saturday's race when he has a bit of time.

I just wanted to mention that SPEED TV will be showing this race on Saturday July 26th at 2 PM eastern time for anyone who is interested in viewing it.

Trying to get caught up right now, so I'll post a race report later. But for now, Wes has updated our website with pictures from the Barber Event. Be careful looking at them, you may begin to sweat (it was HOT).

Steve,
I could not believe what a crazy course layout that track has, it must be difficult to make any passes.
I was wearing my Mutt Strutter shirt today and was asked about it at 3 different places. Yea! Getting the word out one step at a time.

Congratulations, Steve.  Your run was a real victory because you carried in your vehicle a lot more weight than many of the other cars...the memories of what drives you, the hopes of all those pups and their owners, the mission of the AIHA cause, and the vision of the vets and researchers and their associated financial needs to make AIHA just a distant, faded recollection of a nightmare someday in the (hopefully)near future.  With all of us in the car with you it is clear you were actually the biggest winner! Thanks for talking with me on the phone a couple of weeks ago.  I have been trying to figure out how to purchase some of your items in support of the cause but I'm still stumped.  Also, to anyone out there, are there any brochures out there about AIHA that I could get to take to local vets, animal shelters, pet stores, etc. to help folks to become aware of and educated about this disease? Another question...is anyone familiar with any vets in the Pacific Northwest who are AIHA specialists?

Thanks for all you do...all of you AIHA crusaders!

Cheryl,

Morris Animal Foundation has put out brochures on AIHA/IMHA and the Meisha's Hope Fund. I can send you some if you want. Send me your full name, postal mailing address as well as the number of brochures you want and I will get them out to you ASAP.

Check out this page

http://www.acvim.org/Specialist/Search.aspx

it may help you find a specialist in your area.

You can purchase some of Steve's merchandise by going to this page

Hugs to Barkley from Maddie and me.

Thanks, Joanne. I will forward my mailing information to you through the Meisha's Hope site. As it turns out one of Barkley's three vets is Dr. Brendan McKiernan, who was listed in the internal medicine list on the link you provided. I'll try again with Steve's website.

Does anyone have any information about a food product called "WholeMeals"? It comes in the shape of a dog bone but is actually a high protein meal. It seems to be the one thing that my dog, Barkley, seems to still be consistently drawn to at this point...besides the Chicken Poppers treats that he still seems to enjoy. Also does anyone have any medication success for the diarrhea other than Metrodi...I can never remember how to spell or pronounce that stuff!? Anyway...it has only seemed to help slightly and I was hoping there might be a more effective alternative.

Positive thoughts to all from Barkley and Cheryl.
