Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - Sami is gone

I had to let Sami go this morning. I spent the latter part of the night sleeping on the floor by him. His breathing was so laboured it hurt him. He could no longer stand just barely lift his head. He spent a few hours outside where he loved to be before letting him go. Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. I feel so much for you and your loved ones, God Bless all of you. Sue

We love our dogs so much; it is so painful when they have to go. Our best tribute is to remember everything we loved about them, and to grieve for them, and pay them the tribute they are due. After the worst of the grief has passed, we need eventually to honor the love they gave us by finding another dog to love. And that dog will be him or herself, plus all the dogs who came before.
