| Some of you have read about our Sam. He has epilepsy, hypo-thyroid and AIHA. We recently switched him over slowly from Phenobarbital to Potassium Bromide due to the long term liver problems associated w/Phenobarbital. OMG he has the worst gas. Burps and Farts that clear a room! I have to keep a can of Febreeze with me. He will even leave the room after he passes the gas. He had begun to eat his feces also if it is not immediately picked up. Any comments/suggestions. I am ready to go to the health food store for anti-gas meds. Evenings are the worst. |

| Hi Becky. When Duck was first diagnosed with AIHA and put on the "cocktail" of meds, he had terrible gas and very loose bowel movements. My vet recommended a probiotic called FortiFlora. It took about three weeks but it worked like a charm. There are many different probiotics to choose from so maybe ask your vet about them. Hope this helps. deb and Duck |
