Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - Sam eats everything

Sam eats everything now. He has eaten two pairs of my earplugs, both bright orange, that's how we knew...my tube of chapstick, and NOW, our parakeet. Yep. We came home from work to find the cage tossed and the bird gone. Only 3 feathers left. He has NEVER gotten into anything before, never chewed on anything that wasn't his toy. We can't believe it. Yes, he eats everything. And he now has food aggression.

Becky,
It is the pred. We split TC's food into 4 meals a day and give him brown rice & green beans as a filler. They get so hungry...I feed TC in a room alone as he get's very agressive if our cat's even walk by when he is eating.
Your poor bird, that is a first...

And I thought I was the only one this had happened to, it's a story you couldn't make up!
A few years ago I came home to the flat I was living in to find the bird cage on the floor and the budgie missing. I searched the place for him but found nothing but a few feathers. I know for certain he couldn't have got out so reluctantly I had to come to the conclusion that one of my 2 dogs had eaten him. One was a 5 yr old collie cross at the time, and the other was a 1yr old border collie. Neither of them had ever shown the slightest aggression before, or since that day. To this day I don't know for sure which one ate Alfie but my suspicions are that it was the young border.
