Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - RIP Coco

It is with a devestated heart and tears flowing that I let you know that after a couragous fight we had to let Coco go. We brought her home and was told when we did that they had also found a mass on her heart. They felt the masses in her lungs and heart were causing the breathing problems more then the AIHA. She didn't last at home for very long before we took her back to the vets but she got to say good bye to her buddies Max and Tito and her human family also. My son and I held her while she passed. It was sooo important for me that she felt our love. I know that it will get easier as time passes and pray for that time to come. We had her cremated so we could free her in her favorite field. She was as fast as any greyhound and loved to run..My family thanks everyone for their amazing support through all of this and will keep watching the posts for all the good news I am sure you will be sharing...Much love Kelly

I would like to express my deepest condolences in the loss of Coco. She fought a good fight despite all her problems, there was nothing more you could have done.

Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayer.

"May Kahlu and Riley meet her at the gate when she arrives at the rainbow bridge"

cheryl said it all for me

Remember Me
Remember me when flowers bloom
Early in the spring
Remember me on sunny days
In the fun that summer brings
Remember me in the fall
As you walk through the leaves of gold
And in the wintertime, remember me
In the stories that are told.
But most of all remember
Each day, right from the start
I will be forever near
For I live within your heart

Dear Kelly,

You have my deepest sympathy on the loss of Coco. You were there for her until the end and she felt your love. What greater gift could you give her.
Like you, we had Kahlu cremated and I picked up the ashes today. What a sad week it has been for all of us. They will be spread by his favorite creek. Ryley and Kahlu will have so much fun with your Coco girl, running at the bridge! The compassion of all my new friends on this board have been a big help for us and I am sure you will feel that too. May the happy memories console you and heal your heart.
Sending you a big hug,

Dear Kelly

I am so sad for you dealing with the loss of Coco, and I am crying as I write this, with the loss of Riley yesterday - I am sure they are all running free and without pain, Azi, Kahlu, Riley and Coco. What a team!

My sincere condolences to you - your support of everyone on the board while you go through your own pain, is very much admired by me. This goes without saying to everyone here.

Run free now Coco.

Kelly,
Our hearts are heavy this week with all the losses, and especially now that Coco is added. May you find comfort in knowing that she was able to come home, even if for just a short time to say goodbye to everyone and them to her. You were a great Mom to her and your love she will never forget as you hers.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Kelly, I'm so sorry. This is never easy, but at least she got to come home and say goodbye to everyone she loved. You fought so hard for her, and I know she knows just how much she was loved. I'll be thinking about you and your baby girl, running free and healthy at the bridge. Hang in there. Hugs.

Dear Kelly, I am so very very sorry that Coco didn't make it.....Lord knows you did everything humanly possible......we know she is now healthy and whole again, running and playing in Heaven and doesn't have to deal with this rotten disease anymore....I'm sure her spirit is closer than you think....I read that heaven ( the "other side" ) is only 3 feet away dimension-wise, and our deceased pets definitely are around us at times. May GOD bless you always....Tammy/Cody
