| Thank you so much for posting these success stories. I just found out yesterday about our little Max. He is only two and I just can't believe this is happening. It has been a very hard couple of days. We are going back to the Dr. tomorrow a.m. Thank you for the support. A lot of tears shed and trying to stay strong for his sake. It is soooo hard. I feel for all of the people dealing with this condition and strong pets that have to suffer the effects. We have to stay positive and just hold hope and faith. Max is showing autoagglutination, in blood on slide and has white gums, tongue and eyes. I hope that the meds can kick in soon enough for him. He is honestly a very special dog and normally full of life and energy. I have never had a dog like him so over loving and just overall mellow doggie... He goes with me every day to work and clients love him. He has doggie sitters all over the metro area. So hard to see our little friends in this pain and a helpless feeling. Words of encoragement are more helpful than anything. Keep up the great work and a huge thank you from me. My partner and I deal with same issues and I think that this just seems like a curse... I just don't understand it. |

| Alan, I reposted your story so that more people might see it and answer you. I am so sorry your young dog has been diagnosed with this disease. You have certainly come to the right place for information and encouragement! We all know how confusing and scary this is and are here to help you understand if you have any questions. Please let us know how much Max weighs and on what kind and what dosages of medications he is on. It is very important to have a good vet on board that has experiance with this diseas. As him/her how many dogs she has treated successfully. Maybe you need to go to a specialist (internal medicine) or at least see if you could have your vet consult with Dr. Dodds in California. Please keep us posted on how things are going. We will be thinking of Max and hoping the meds will kick in. Best wishes, Brigitte |
