Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - Prayers/Good Thoughts for my Honey

I have been posting here for a good while. I lost my 4 yr golden retriever, Hunter to AIHA back on Oct. 16, 2003, his being an adverse rection to ProHeart6, the 6 month heartworm preventative injetion.

Lat May 25, 2008, Ilost his littermate sister, KayCee at 8 yrs. 9 months to cancer. Well, 2 weeks ago we found a small strange lookng place on the left rear leg of our remaining dog, adopted golden retriever mi Honey, age 7 1/2. It almost looked and felt like a blister half full of fluid. It was removed, sent off, histopath report came back, Grade 2 mast cell tumor, malignat.

She had the surgery this past Thursday and a large area was removed to make sure the tumor was completely removed with a clean edge. She is the last of my "babies" and I need prayers and good thoughts for her that he got it all no more treathemtn is needed and that it has not spread anwyere like her lungs, liver, etc.

Prayers and good thoughts going out to you and Honey, Sandra. I hope that the surgery got all of the tumor and that it has not spread anywhere. Keep us posted.
Take care,

Thank you everyone. She is doing well, exceopt I fear she has pulled a stitch or two loose as she has had bleeding tonight--and wouldn't you know she comes and lays on the beige carpet on her left leg leaving blood on it! I will be taking her in tomorrow morning to hve it checked. It is impossible to keep a bandage o it bcause of being on the side of her knee. And she tends to sleep what I call "froggy doggy" which is on her tummy with her legs sread toh sdes...adhe desn' dthe stitce much good.
