| Just reading the latest lovely story on Meisha's hope, I noted in the diary that when the prednisone was being reduced, it was recommended to give it just once a day as that would reduce side effects. Riley's dose has been reduced and I did wonder whether to give it twice a day as I have been doing, but for convenience have been giving it once a day. It does seem like there is a lot to give Riley, along with protectants, reflux and antibiotics. Any advice, particularly in regard to the prednisone as I was thinking of dividing the dose between morning and evening? |

| Silka, We gave the prednisone 2x per day when Kahlu was on the high doses (75 mg per day). Only when we got to 2.5mg did we give it once a day. It is a hassle to give it 2x per day, but I think that is what you should do with the prednisone. Patrice can probably give you a scientific explanation why it should be that way, i just know that is what we and most people did. Best wishes, Brigitte & Kahlu |
