First of all I want to thank all of you who have contributed items for the faces of Canine AIHA/IMHA Garage sale that will be held here in MN on May 7th and 8th that will benefit the Meisha's Hope AIHA/IMHA Fund #338 at Morris Animal Foundation: http://www.morrisanimalfoundation.org/special-campaigns/meishas-hope/ It is only 2 1/2 weeks until the sale and we are getting very excited about it. The deadline for contributing items to the sale as well as photos of AIHA/IMHA dogs for the Faces of AIHA/IMHA Board to be displayed at the sale is now past. All items that have been received are now marked and the Faces Board is complete. We are now in the process of getting posters out to all vet clinics in the area about the sale and all clinics are very excited about the sale. I have posted a photo of the "Faces of Canine AIHA/IMHA" Board online at the following URL http://www.geocities.com/meishamargo/faceboard.html This board is 4 feet by 4 feet in size and will sit on a large easel at the sale. These photos are only the tip of iceberg of the dogs I have seen who have AIHA/IMHA in the 17+ years I have been doing this. The photos on this board are of dogs whose owner/caregivers have donated items for the sale, or who are donars to the Meisha's Hope Fund, or who have been Success Stories at the Meisha' Hope Web site. I could have posted countless more photos but chose to use a board of this size because of space considerations. Anyone who has seen this board in person has been truly impressed by it. I plan on using this photos of the board for other AIHA/IMHA projects I have in mind. Once again, this URL http://www.geocities.com/meishamargo/faceboard.html will take you to a photo of the "Faces of Canine AIHA/IMHA" Board.

Joanne, Fantastic job as usual. I am sure the board will make a huge impact. Recognizing a lot of the dogs in the pictures moved me so I can imagine what it will do for people just learning about AIHA. Penny

Seeing all those happy faces is so very moving and at the same time so sad to think that some of those incredibly beautiful faces are no longer with us and many continue to struggle with AIHA. But on a happy note many of them are still here and perhaps someday a future board will only have pictures of just survivors and a better treatment will have been found and there will be no more deaths from this terrible disease and through donations and fund raising this future board may become a reality. I will say a prayer for each dog on that board and we know that behind those faces there is a loving owner dedicated in some way helping find a cure. We wish for a very successful garage sale and a beautiful sunny day!!! Thank you again Joanne for all you do, I am in awe of your dedication. Cherryl & Ginger

For some reason this morning when I clicked on the link to show my husband it comes up with a fraud warning notice from geocites? It didn't do that yesterday? Penny

Hello Joanne, I had no problem looking at the faces of AIHA/IMHA. Thank you so much for all your work! It is very moving to look at all the dogs. Your site has helped me more than you can imagine in the last 3 months. Best wishes, Brigitte & Kahlu

Joanne, I didn't have any problem opening it. The first time I got a warning box before it opened the second time it had a red fraud warning at the end of the url. I was just initially angry that it would possibly show fraud to other people looking. I have my work computer set up pretty much the same as my home computer and it did not show up at work? Sounds like a possible glitch at geocities maybe? Just wanted to give you a heads up just in case. Penny

Thanks Penny for the heads up. I would not want anyone to think that anything I or MAF is doing is fraud. I do think it is a geocities glitch since I have not heard anyone else mention this problem and I have heard from many other people via email this morning about the page that contains the photo of the Board.

I had no problem opening it. It breaks my heart to look at those faces and know the worry, the pain, the grief their care givers went thru/are going thru and think abnut my golden boy lost to this horrible disease. I hope lots of money is reasied and people become aware of this disease.

Joanne, the board is wonderful, and heartbreaking. So many dogs lost to this horrible disease. I missed your deadlines this year, i dont know where the time goes. Thank you for all that you do, I would have been lost without Meisha's hope when Kent was first diagnosed. I look forward to hearing about the sale, Christine and Kent

These are some truly beautiful dogs here. You did a good job with the board Joanne. Your work is no doubt doing wonders for the cause. I hope the yard sale is a success. Johnny & Tessy

While the pictures on the board do represent a lot of pain and loss There are a lot of faces on there that did beat the odds and became success stories at Meisha's Hope.

Joann, Thanks is so little compared to what you are doing for our friends who can't speak for themselves. I know I will be forever grateful to all here who supported me through a terrible time. Blessings to you and yours for giving of yourself so unselfishly. Your reward will be great as you cross that Bridge and all those wagging tails surround you in delight. God Bless and hello to all my friends here. sharon, angel Brandy and the 'New kids' Frankie and Sweetheart

Cheryl & Melissa, Thank you for the good wishes. It is garage sale day and the weather is good. We are ready to go on the sale. Christy from MAF arrived yesterday and we had an enjoyable time visting with her and "brainstorming" with her about new ideas for the Meisha's Hope Fund. Friend, Nola will arrive shortly. It is going to be a wonderful day and we hope to raise a lot of money for AIHA/IMHA reseach. Hope to have photos from the sale online as soon as time will allow. Thanks much to all who donated items for the sale or sent checks. You are here with us in Spirit. Hugs to all the canine kids from Canine Maddie and me.
