Hi everyone, Just a quick question. Now that we have Holly off of all meds I was finishing up bottle of Pet Tinic. I know it is a vitamin and probably good for her, but just wondering if anyone else that has stopped all meds continues to give the pet tinic? Thanks, Linda

Wylie was on it for a long time after being off meds, her iron level was showing a little elevated so my vet had me stop it. So I think as long as she does not have high livers values its okay Laurie

Linda, Darcy was on PetTinic, then Amino B-Plex (much like PetTinic, but better) until her PCV levels started to increase. Her meds were being lowered, but she was not completely off them at the time we stopped the supplementation. Karen

Hi Linda. I used the PT for several years religiously. The main ingredint is iron. Doesn't seem as if the product is packed with (other) vitamins. After weaning Choe off of the pred I had ben giving it to him much less. Recently I had to put him back on the pred temproarily for a back injury and I began giving it to him again but in lesser frequency than daily. I think it's a good product to have around. I'm just not certain of a dog who is maintaining high HCT counts need a constant influx of extra iron. How is Holly doing? Jan

| Hi guys, Thanks for your input. I just ordered one more bottle of it. I was getting 2 at a time, but I think like you said Jan I will start tapering off a bit. I already do stop it on the weekends. Holly has been good! I need to make her 2 month checkup blood draw appointment, but have just been so busy at the cabins have not had time. We are in full leaf season right now and the cabins are keeping us jumping. Ever since we started her on the Pet Dophilus she has been doing really good. Jan, how is Choe doing with his back?? | Jan, the other main ingrdient is B vitamins so when I stopped Wylie on the Pet tinic, I now supplement with a multi B vitamin. Linda, I remember your pics of the cabins and thought I wish we had places like that here in CA. Glad to hear you are hopping. Laurie |

Laurie, the mgs. of Vitamin B seem very low...I was hoping it would be a higher dose than what is on the label. Linda, Choe seems to be doing very well. I am not certain of the effect, but it seemed as if following the accupunture treatment for his back episode he 'morphed' into superman! I can hardly keep him from running. I am keeeping my fingers crossed. I am weaning him off the pred, hopefully for good this time. Jan
