| Hello Everyone... Well...It's been a year now and our female Corgi is just about 100%. She is now off prednisone completely but still takes a very small dose (1/4 of a pill= 12.5 MG) twice a week of AZO. Next month we expect she will come off of that as well. In that time she has come from death's door back to a happy and healthy 6 year old. Even the hair on her belly has finally grown back after the multiple shavings for tests and IV's. At Tufts she participated in a blind experiment with a new drug therapy. We were never told what exactly it was or if she even received it or just a control drug. We like to think that she got the drug and that soon other dogs will be able to benefit from these trials. She no longer gets vaccinations or any other meds or flea things. She did a 4 day kennel stay this month in isolation with just our other Corgi and she managed well. So let this be a reminder that there is hope. That dogs do survive this awful disease and go on to live full lives. Every day is a gift but not one goes by that we don't check her gums. Keep the faith... best...Joe and Paris |

| Joe & Paris, That is wonderful news! It is always refreshing to read wonderful stories like this. Holly is now down to prednisone 2.5mg every third day and still on 2mg of the azathioprine. She was diagnosed March 26, next month in Dec will be our one year anniversary of adopting her. Again so very happy for you both! Linda |
