Thanks for the heads up Josh. I was very happy to finally see something reported that actually points the finger at these major companies. Of course they are in denial but if it saves just one dog or cat it was worth watching. I hope this means more people will be talking about the dangers of these products. All the people on this board that think their dog was affected by these products should contact NBC and maybe they would consider a follow up story. Penny

oh no problem, i actually didnt get to see it because i feel asleep early last night but here is the link for the web story- http://www.nbclosangeles.com/health/topics/PetProductsConcern.html i would also encourage anyone who feels like there pet's disease was brought on by these products, to contact them... it's rare that the mainstream media even runs these stories because they are so corporate controlled, so lets raise some noise!

I am posting this for Jan as she is again unable to post so she asked me to post for her: Penny, Josh...hello. Thinking of you and Sway always. Thanks so much for the thread. I have spent $9,000 on my Choe's recovery from being poisoned by FRONTLINE to say nothing of the guilt that plagues me everyday. I worry about my boy, my best bud. I love this wonderful, trusting, intelligent guy more than anything in this world. You know what I'm talking about. Will he remain in remission? Will he ever get off the pred (2.5 years)? I'd like to shout it from the rooftops. FRONTLINE KILLS. DON'T USE THE STUFF. YOU ARE MAKING BIG PHARMA RICH AND CAUSING POTENTIAL AGONY FOR YOUR PETS. I have collected info from many others whose pets also suffered from the spot on FRONTLINE application. I have tried to organize a class action law suit via number of law firms. None will take the case!! They know the Pharms will have their own experts testify and deny responsibility. That's exactly how this abc report describes the response from these Pharma companies when pressed to respond. Because the EPA does not really hold the Pharms accountable for quality assurance production of these products, it is your word against theirs. They really are not at all fearful of being taken to court. Your pet is designated as 'property'--of minimal value. How bout them apples??? I have tried to make NOISE, but guess what. No one will listen. In fact this is the first time I have seen a prime time major news report that gets to the core - reality based. Bravo for the vet in this clip who agreed to be interviewed. Most vets remain mute. They are fearful of making waves and are confused themselves as to how these products are chemically produced, tested and monitored. When animals come in suddenly deathly sick needing quick treatment most do not delve into the potential of pesticide poisoning. I think they want to wish it away. After all, they make quite a profit selling the stuff. It's all very disturbing. I have become so frustrated in the lack of interest/response I have received from numerous consumer advocates I have contacted that I have ceased batting my head against the wall. I have come to the conclusion that our government agencies could care less about important auditing and quality assurance protocols and are last on the list to protect us. We just have to try to spread the word....one consumer to another. Everyone has to come to their own conclusion. Jan

I agree with you fully- Obviously puppy vaccinations are usually needed as a stage one, but anything beyond that is nonsense in my view.. Most vets don't even use this crap on there own animals. Also, you mentioned vets won't step forward... This is true, because if they do they will be black-balled from the industry and stereo-typed as a 'qwacks' similar to how doctors are that speak out against the FDA/AMA and standard cancer treatments of radiation and the like. there is big money in big business and anyone that dare challenge them and the government way of doing things will get a foot on the neck. why do you think they are coming after whole foods? going after people that have community gardens? etc... because industry runs everything, they run the product, they run the people that test the product, they run the people that review the product...and if u dare speak out against that process they will use there resources to ruin your career. that is the bottom line.

Josh, Thanks for posting the link for the video. After watching it, I couldn't help but wonder why veterinarian prescribed flea/tick products such as Frontline, Advantix, etc were not mentioned in this video. The focus was geared more towards OTC products which you can buy at your local supermarket. It seems like this may give some people a false positive hope that if they receive the products from their vets, then it's okay. But it's not okay. Those products are just as bad!!!! I get so sick and tired of vets telling me these products are safe. They are poison, and we all know that!!!!

Layla- Oh i agree, im not sure on any of the specifics from any of the company names or where they are sold because i no longer give them and havent for a number of years... they are all 1 and the same to me and frontline or advantix shouldnt be spared from scrutiny.
