| Today was the 5th day since Nancy's transfusion. She has recovered well from the pancreatitis. We were at the vet this morning for a blood test. Unfortunately Nancy's count went from the 32 (Tuesdays count) to 25 (It was 13 before her transfusion on Monday). The vet said not to panic YET, as a drop can be expected sometimes. She is happy that Nancy is eating very well, and seems enthusiastic for food, treats and squirrels. However, even though she is 'ok', I see her a just a tiny bit slower than she was 2 days ago, it is a very subtle change. The plan is to continue the immuno-suppresents, have another blood check on Wednesday and that should tell us more. Nancy is now tolerating her meds well, especially since we have spaced them out. Nancy was really enthusiastic for food and seemed pretty happy this evening. Please pray, I am trying not to be scared, but I am...... AnnaMarie |

| AnnaMarie, Tiggs did the same thing, don't panic. He was a new dog after his transfusion- more energy, pink gums, etc, but only for a day or two, then the numbers went back down. We were also up to a 32 (from a 10) after the transfusion, then dipped back down to 24 shortly thereafter. But, a few days later it began a slow climb again. I have faith Nancy will turn the corner! Good luck, you are in our thoughts! melissa and tiggs |
