| Molly went for another vet visit on Tuesday. On March 19, her PCV was only 21--it was improving but not fast. They added liquid iron that I put on her food morning and night (3ml each time). She was 30.50 lbs. at the 3/19 visit. Our visit on 3/24 she weighed 27 lbs.--so I am increasing her food intake until we get a couple more weeks out on medications. Her PCV was 30! Finally a big increase--the vet said primarily due to the addition of the iron and the Azathioprine kicking in. Hopefully we're on the road to recovery. Thanks again for all the encouraging words and prayers. Linda |

| Hooray -- love to hear good news!!! The weight loss is a little weird, tho...didn't you say in one of your earlier posts that she eats everything in sight? How much did she weigh before this all started? I guess if your vet didn't mention it as an issue, it may not be, but I would keep an eye on it. Just my 2 cents... Very good PCV numbers tho...stay positive and keep up the fight! Lee, Lucy and family |

| Linda, that is great news about Molly! I wouldn't overly worry about increasing her food intake because once the meds take full effect it'll be the opposite. Tessy dropped some weight at first but when the meds kicked in she gained it all back really fast. You should avoid foods like grains, soy products and corn. Try some foods like sweet potatoe, squash, zuichini, spinach, carrots (orangy, green, yellow) types. Chicken was always a big hit with Tessy. It looks like Molly is on the road to recovery. Remember though, you still have a lot of work ahead of you. It can be easy to lose focus. Try to keep her calm and show her all kinds of love. My thoughts and prayers are with you both.
