Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - Missing our Tasha at Christmas

Our home seems so empty with our dear Tasha at Rainbow Bridge. We still have Sammy with us but even though we love her lots, Cats are just so different than dogs. I wrote this shortly after she died. She left us the day before our Son's funeral. A lonely Christmas for sure. Take care all of you fighting this disease...It can be won but only with hope and prayers and the help you all give each other. Peace!
Dolores

TASHA DEAR
You left us early on that Thursday morn,
We thought we were prepared for your
leaving, but sorrow over came us when
we saw you were gone.

Unconditional love you gave us; asking for nothing but love in return.
We remember your beautiful face,
your eyes so brimming with lovc....
You tried your best to win the race, but
in the end your body could no longer
over come.

We miss you so much Tasha and your friend Sammy still looks for you as
she waits by the door.
Not really knowing you were gone for
ever more.

We know you are with your creator,
waiting at the Rainbow Bridge, and
when we too leave this life we will find
you and hug you as we did when you
were here.
Until that time, wait for us Tasha Dear
Love, Forever Mommy & Daddy.

Dolores,
I am sure that Tasha is in the arms of your Son and both know they will see you again someday. I appreciate your kindness and the way you reach out to those in need. Penny

What a beautiful poem about Tasha! I miss Stormie too...every day but I know I will see her again. Our babies are well, happy, and waiting.
Thanks for all you do Dolores.
Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Dolores -- thinking of you and sending good thoughts your way. You had a terrible time this past year losing your son and Tasha, but you put your trust in God and know that you'll all be together again. You have been such a source of comfort to us that maybe we can comfort you. Please take care, and as you say, take comfort knowing your loved ones are happy and healthy again.
