Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - Millie - 6 month survivor

Dear Everyone,

I just wanted to say thanks for everyone's support on this forum.

My little Millie will be a 6 month survivor next Wednesday!

I'm so proud of my girl, she's so happy today and enjoying life with her best friends Mitsy and Harry and back out walking for half an hour a night with us.

Her energy levels are back, we are down to 2.5mg Pred every second day and a 1/4 Imuran tablet every day.

I honestly thought we'd lose her, with a PCV of 14 when diagnosed.

Thanks to great vetert

We are not out of the woods yet, but at nearly 12 years old, I hope Millie can see out her twilight years IMHA free.

Wishing the same for all dogs diagnosed with AIHA/IMHA.

Congratulations to Millie!!!! I am so happy for you both. My Keiko is a 2 year survivor and we continue to follow stories on this forum and pray for everyone's dogs. We still keep a close watch on her, may never completely relax again, about her health..

Yeah and all paws up for Millie! It's always great to hear about another "old" dog who's beaten this disease. Sheba (12 1/2) is a 16 month survivor and 6 months meds free. Hope you celebrate with hugs, kisses and lots of treats!
