| Hello Everyone, Well it has been a while since I last posted but I do check in on this board very regularly. Today is the one year anniversary of Mercedes diagnosis of IMHA---she was gravely ill!! I am happy to report that she is still in remission and a very healthy happy standard poodle! She still has azathioprine twice a week but we hope that we will be able to continue to reduce the doseage, until she is drug free. We are due to send another blood sample to Dr. Dodds in April, and hopefully we will make another reduction then. I cannot even begin to thank all of the kind and helpful people on this board! If it were not for you, your compassion, advice, encouragement, and support, I really don't think we would be celebrating this happy day, today!! It was you that encouraged me to ask questions (and even told me the questions to ask--LOL!) It was you who sent words of support to me when things were soooo bad, and it was you, who helped me understand test results. Ultimately, Mercedes saviour was Jean Dodds----and it was you folks, who directed me to her. So Mercy and I would like to thank you, from the very bottom of our hearts, for all of the love, support, guidance, and encouragement you gave us on that long and very stressful journey!! Your time, caring and thoughtfulness, are all so very much appreciated. The fact that so many of you took the time to help us (when many of you were still/and are still, fighting your own battles with IMHA) was truly remarkable. Thank you again! Please know, that you are all in our thoughts and prayers, on a daily basis!! Hugs to One and All from both of us...... Maureen and Mercedes |

| Hi Maureen, thank YOU!! Your story has given me some optimism - this is the fourth week after the diagnosis for our lovely girl, Mo, a cocker spaniel. She is much improved from where she started but it has been the longest month of my life, and it is wonderful to hear that there is light at the end of the tunnel. All the best to you and Mercedes. | Hi Johnny Thanks for your well wishes----How is Tessie? I have been wondering about her but haven't seen any posts from you and her lately??? Hope all is well!!! DIANNE--Where there is life there is hope!!! The folks on this board taught me that! I hope your cocker makes a full recovery---(I see she and I share the same name---my nickname is Mo! LOL!!). IMHA is a long and stressful journey, but if I had to go down that road again, I would do it in a minute!!! Good luck in the days ahead. Maureen and Mercedes |

| Hi Maureen, Brilliant to hear that Mercedes is still doing so well. I remember her when Archie was so ill. What a difference a year makes! Last year was so scary and my thoughts are with those who are where we were then. Enjoy the summer and good luck with the results. Sue & Archie |
