Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - Melissa, how is Tiggs?

Melissa,
I have been thinking of you and Tiggs so much the last few days, wondering how he is. I hope he tolerates the prdnisone better this time. I was also hoping anybody has an opinion if it would be a benefit to spit these high doses into 3 per day.

Yup, I too wouldn't mind hearing how Tiggs is doing. Are you still reducing the pred?
Hoping and praying his platelets are still up where they're supposed to be.

Hi guys,

Thanks so much for checking in with us! We go in again next week for a reduction if all looks well. He's acting great, but I was just away for three days at work, and his pointy head is, well...pointier! Damn pred, but he was ecstatic and playful when I got home. I just worry because my husband, though an excellent caregiver and papa to the dogs, isn't always as observant, and I have to leave again for another week. But, I have faith that he's feeling great on the 40 mgs/day (we're dosing twice per day, don't know about the 3/day idea Brigitte) and very optimistic that we'll reduce when I get home again next week.

I have to go read all the updates now, I've been out of touch!

Thank you all again for seeing how he's doing, we're hoping the best for all the pups.

Melissa,
I am so relieved that Tiggs is improving! Just keep doing what you have been doing and he will be a real Pittie with his beautiful smile again soon. The going away is probably harder on you than on Tiggs and i have no doubts your husband will do his very best again. I am sure he is a fast learner too!
Thanks for the compliments btw.
Best wishes,
