| Joanne: I just looked at Meisha's Hope web site and did a double take. Meisha looks exactly, exactly like my niece Katie's dog, Daisy. From the curled tips of her ears to her wise eyes. Daisy is a gentle, old soul and one of the (if not the) kindest, sweetest dogs I've ever known. Daisy's about the same age that Meisha would have been. She was rescued (as were two of my other dogs) from the Uintah and Ouray Indian Reservation in northeastern Utah. I know you're in MN, but is there any chance Meisha and Daisy could be litter mates? | Ssndy, I doubt that Daisy and Meisha could have been litter mates. To the best of my knowledge she was surrended to our local animal shelter by a family or person from my town. If Daisy is near Meisha's age,she must be nearly 19 now, since Meisha would be celebrating her 19th birthday on Decemeber 1st if she were alive. She died in November 2001, just a few days before her 13th birthday. I have had several people tell me that their dog looked/looks enough like Meisha for them to be twins, even had a few lookalike photos sent to me. When you next see Daisy, give her a big hug from me and my little canine red headed gal, Maddie. |
