Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - Matilda Update 23.12.11

Hello everyone, I just thought I'd post a little message of Christmas hope to all of you that have your precious companions suffering with this awful disease.
Mattie had her results this week and her pcv has risen again to 34.7 and her protein loss has improved too. She spent all of last her battling and started the year with a pcv of 5 , had 8 transfusions and has spent this year slowly getting better . It can happen and I'd like to thank Jean Dodds for being the angel that she is and all the people on here for their support.......wishing you all, the humans and the canines strength and courage......miracles can happen.
All the best

Yaaay for Mattie!
Cookie's present is a loofa dog and a pink dragon.. my present is that she's still here! She was a lucky one that only needed 1 transfusion , but still I have learned a lot about this disorder because of it and how important it is to check their gums!
All of our recovering dogs are Christmas miracles! Let's hug them tightly this weekend especially the ones that are still in the ER!

I am so happy for both Mattie and Cookie! I hope to read more success stories and I keep all of you fighting this awful disease in my thoughts and prayers.
