Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - Maggie's update

Maggie's bloodwork is at 48. In the beginning of her diagnosis it was only 15 so she's come through a lot since then She 's a tough little girl. She is down to 1/4 of a 5 mg prednisone. The vet doctor said she thinks Maggie will be off meds within a months time.

I wish the same success that Maggie is having to all.

Dorri, great to hear Maggie is doing so well. 48 is a good solid number. Are all her other numbers in normal ranges? Just be carefull when reducing meds especially if you are going to be taking Maggie off of them permanently. Get full blood results, chem results, pathology, etc. That way you will have a good idea what's going on.
Either way, Maggie does sound like a good little fighter! I'm sure her mommy must have played a huge part it this. Congrats to both of you.
