| We saw our vets and went to LSU today....they all seem pleased with his progress so far. HCT 34.4 HGB 10.6 RBC 4.67 WBCs 22 Abs Retic 58.9 His HCT right after the transfusion last Friday was 35, so holding pretty steady. I was worried about the Absol Retic, but the specialist at LSU wasn't too concerned....said since his HCT was right at normal, a lower Retic count was ok for Mr. B. Best news was the testing showed no spherocytes or other abnormal cells for the first time....morphology was good!! So we go back next Wed and do it all again, and see if he keeps it up. For now, just very happy that he is holding steady! After next week, if all is well, we talk about reducing meds, VERY SLOWLY!! Thanks for the prayers, Sally and Mr. B |
