| Hello all, I have read much sadness on the board after being away for awhile and I pray for continued success for all the dogs improving and weep for all the dogs lost. As many of you may remember, Keiko was diagnosed in June 07 and went downhill very quickly. She was transfused within 48 hours of diagnosis and we were on the roller coaster ride for a long time. Today Keiko is approaching her 7th birthday, in March, and she remains healthy. She still takes 0.3ml of Aza 3 times a week. The vet says he does not want to change that as she is good and he does not want to change what is working. She has been off pred, almost 2 years :) and is back to her svelte dachie self @ 7 pounds. I just wanted offer you some encouragement in your fight to beat this terrible disease. ((hugs)) to all of you Jess, Keiko and Hushi |

| Dear Jess, Keiko and Hushi Thank you for your post, I love to read stories such as yours with Keiko. I think that is the formula for success, once you have found what is working, then stick with it, and if you can get them off pred, that is fantastic. Thank you for your post for Riley - I miss him. | Jess, That is such great inspiring news about Keiko. I think that when you go through a stretch with the losses we had we tend to forget about all the successes. Thank you for the reminder and may you have continued good luck with Keiko....Kelly |

| Thank you Jess. It is really good to hear some positive news. The people here could really use some after the past few weeks. Tough to say the least. My Macy is really still at the beginning stages of all this and I honestly didn't think we'd get this far after the shape she was in. However, each day is a blessing with her and your post has served as inspiration to the daily battle against this disease. |
