Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - Kahlu at the vet
| Hello everybody, Kahlu was so weak,i could not wait any longer and we just took him to the vet. Tuteli just poked her head in when we got there. She is ready to go on a holiday. it took not long for us to decide, that we have to buy him some time with a transfusion. Tutteli has a lovely Boxer who was up for it so now we sit here and wait for that precious juice to flow into my precious boy. I know this only buys us a few days at the rare he was going, but we just had to give him a chance. Keep my boy in your thoughts, thank you all! Brigite & Kahlu |

| I'm so sorry to hear Kahlu is worse today. The transfusion could be just the right thing. Are they giving Kahlu gamma globulin infusion at the same time? It's been part of my Winston's treatment and is suppose to stimulate red blood cell production. Good luck - I'm thinking of you both. |

| Brigitte, I've been so sorry to read everything that you and Kahlu have been going through the past few days. Have they even had time to rule out other possible causes of the anemia or do you know for certain this is a relapse? If you don't have a definitive diagnosis yet, the transfusion will hopefully give them the time to do that. Of course, we'll be praying that all goes well for you and Kahlu and that we hear better news soon. Bonnie |

| Brigitte, my heart is with you during this tough time. I've been thinking of poor Kahlu and yourself all day. I can only imagine the pain and frustration you must be going through right now. You're not alone in this...we're all here saying prayers for you and your beautiful boy. Remember to try to take care of yourself during all of this and try to get some rest for Kahlu's sake.
