Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - just checking in

It has been 6 months since Maddison passed away and I think of you guys often. It was very helpful to be able to "talk" about this horrible disease and read your stories and get advice, I just wanted to check in, I hope you are all doing well and staying strong. Take care.

Kathy,
I hope that time has lessened some of the pain for you.
It is always helpful to have a place to go where people understand.

Kathy,

Sorry to hear about Maddison. We weren't here yet when you lost her, but I hope that you are finding comfort and peace as time goes on. It's sad that we all are here, but I'm grateful for this forum and the commitment and knowledge of everyone who shares here.

Kathy,

I,too,am one of the newer members of the vetnet aiha family, even thought what I went through with my Barkley made me feel like I was here forever and made me much older within the actual brief time that he was part of the IMHA world (eight weeks). I lost my Barkley on August 25 and hope that your agony has eased in the time since your Maddison's journey out of the fatigue and torment of IMHA. I hope that thoughts of her now bring warm memories of happy times and no longer the black abyss of profound grief. Thanks for checking in.

Warmly,
Cheryl (and always Barkley)
