Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - Josh and Sway?

I have been watching for word on Sway. Sway and Josh have been on mind for awhile now and am wondering if I missed a post on Sway's health. Does anyone know how Sway is doing?

Thanks

Wow, we must have a collective conscious, because I was getting ready to post the same question. We'd love and update.

Yeah it's been a while since the last update on Sway. Hope everything is ok.

hello, thanks for the concerns...
we are just in a consistent rough spot-
she is really having a difficult time generating any kind of mass to her body.
continues to lose weight and is down to 22 lbs.
her new liver results since making a drastic diet switch with the intention of (improving) her liver condition, actually made it much worse and more than doubled her ALT in a 6 week span.

ive had so much put in front of me that i really at this point dont know which direction to go and my vets arent much help either, as they all seem to be just satisfied that sway is still alive.

her PCV at last check was 21% which is remaining steady (for her) and we will take that...it will be 2 years in july since she was diagnosed with AIHA and it seems that is as good as its gonna get with her bloodwork, as we havent been even in the 30%tile range since 2007

I was thinking this the other day also. It was so long I was starting to get worried.

Good to hear from you. Hope you can find balance with Sway. Like you were saying....the positive thing is that she's still there with you.

I'll keep her in my thoughts and prayers.

Thanks for the update. Yes, definitely a positive in all this is that Sway is still with you. You are the best doggie dad ever!

Josh and Sway,
I am sorry that nothing you try seems to be the answer to getting Sway stabilized. You both remain in my thoughts and prayers.

So glad to hear from Josh and Sway, though sad to hear things are still so difficult.

Thinking of you two always, and sending healing thoughts.
