| Joey's latest PCV and retclocyte (sorry about the spelling but it's the baby blood cell count?) has come back normal. His pcv was 52 and the retyclocyte level was 77( previously at least double that count)which is the first time in 2 years it's been that!He has dropped weight to 27.5kgs and we've now increased his exercise to 1hour 45 mins daily without any problems to his legs.Fingers and paws crossed that all is going to be well.We had to stop him swimming for a week as he had a rash in his groin area but it is now cleared so we're going again tomorrow.I want to thank everyone who has replied to my at sometimes rambling threads your support has been invaluable. For those who have just started on this journey all I can say is don't give up hope.Joey is the 2nd dog I've had who has developed this awful illness but we are now 2 years and nearly 3 months past initial diagnosis. It's a hard, emotionally draining experience with no hard and fast answers.I have known the pain of losing through George and the despair of another diagnosis with Joey.I have searched and searched for answers as to why but have come up empty.I guess I'm rambling again but if I've learnt anything it's to savour every moment in life. With love and best wishes to all, Love Corrie & Joey. xxx |

| Corrie, Whoo-Hoo for you and Joey! I think sometimes we are sent these special dogs because we will go the distance for them. You may never find the answers of why you have had to deal with this more than once but fortunately for Joey you were willing to fight on. Enjoy every single minute with your dear sweet boy! Penny |
