Canine Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia (AIHA & IMHA) - Jewel Update from Advice Wanted

I just wanted to update everyone on Jewel's progress...it has been 3 months since we last posted mostly due to the new job I took and the long hours I have been putting in. In mid November 2 months after her last tests showed improvement I finally went back to my old vet and gave him all her information and he did a blood panel and a snap test for the tick diseases and Jewel is 100% back to her natural blood readings in all areas, no sign of tick diseases showed in snap test nor in the sent out test. After 4 months she is finally back to 100% normal and off the tetracycline (I had taken her off the pred and azathioprine 1 1/2 months prior). The only effect somewhat left is she has developed arthritis due to degeneration of joints from the tick disease put we have her on a high dose of glucosimine/condroiten and MSM and the vet prescribed her some pain medicine if needed. I still feed her fresh food as much as possible (of course I want to spoil her when I came that close to losing her) and I still give her her vitmamins. The day we came out of the vets office and since then she running and jumping for joy. Of course I know most if not all of this was done through the infinite and wonderous healing powers of God in the name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and my belief to surrender her to Him and that if it was His will not my own that she be saved. Believe me this was the first time in my whole life that I totally surrendered everything I am and all the control I think I have and gave it up all to Him no matter what the outcome and just Believed in His Wonderous and Awesome Powers. You and your animal children are always in my Prayers for constant strength and healing. What a Glorious Christmas this will be, no hustle...no bustle just cuddling in front of the TV watching animal planet with my baby girl and her brother Lucky and giving thanks and gratitude and praise to God for this Joyous Holiday! Blesssings to You All!

Pam,

This is wonderful and hopeful for people like me and my little Brandi. I am a Christian too and I must now give it all to Jesus Christ and let His will be done. I will keep fighting though as long as I see Brandi is willing.

Merry Christmas to you and Jewel
